We recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially during the peak season (October to April) or the Salalah Khareef season (July to September).
2. Can I customize my tour itinerary?
Yes! We specialize in tailor-made packages. You can customize your journey from the desert (Wahiba Sands) to the coast (Daymaniyat Islands).
3. Are flights included in the tour packages?
Our standard inbound packages do not include international flights. We cover all ground handling, accommodation, transport, and tours within Oman.
4. Do you offer private and group tours?
Yes, we offer both personalized private tours and scheduled group tours depending on your budget and preferences.
5. How do I book a car rental with Spring Tours Oman?
You can book directly through our website or contact our team. We offer a modern fleet of sedans and 4WDs suitable for Oman's diverse terrains.
6. What documents are required to rent a car?
You need a valid passport, your national driving license, an International Driving Permit (IDP), and a valid credit card for the security deposit.
7. Can I drive a rented sedan off-road?
No, off-road driving (like in the desert or wadis) is strictly prohibited for sedans. You must rent a 4WD vehicle for such adventures.
8. Do you provide child car seats?
Yes, child seats are available upon request for a small additional fee. Please request them at the time of booking.
9. How does your visa assistance service work?
We process tourist and entry visas for our clients. Simply provide us with a clear passport copy and a passport-sized photo, and we will handle the ROP application.
10. Do I need a visa before arriving in Oman?
Citizens of over 100 countries are eligible for visa-free entry for up to 14 days. For longer stays or other nationalities, an e-visa is required, which we can assist with.
11. How long does the visa processing take?
Standard visa processing takes between 3 to 7 business days, depending on Royal Oman Police (ROP) approvals.
12. Is hotel accommodation included in the tours?
Yes, most of our multi-day packages include hotel stays ranging from 3-star to 5-star luxury resorts, based on your selection.
13. Do you provide English-speaking guides?
Yes, our local Omani guides are fluent in English. Guides speaking other languages can be arranged upon request.
14. Are entrance fees to forts and museums included?
Yes, if you book a guided tour package, standard entrance fees to sites like Nizwa Fort and National Museum are usually included.
15. Can I add extra days to my itinerary later?
Yes, subject to availability. Please contact your dedicated travel consultant to arrange extensions.
16. Is travel insurance included?
No, travel insurance is not included. We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance in your home country.
17. Do you organize camping tours in Wahiba Sands?
Yes, we offer everything from luxury desert camps to authentic Bedouin-style wild camping experiences.
18. Do you offer snorkeling and boat tours?
Absolutely. We organize daily trips to the Daymaniyat Islands for snorkeling with sea turtles and exploring vibrant coral reefs.
19. Can you arrange airport pick-up and drop-off?
Yes, we provide luxury airport transfers from Muscat International Airport to your hotel or destination.
20. What is the minimum age to rent a car?
The primary driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving license for a minimum of one year.
Cancellation & Modifications
1. What is your general tour cancellation policy?
Cancellations over 30 days prior to arrival incur a 10% fee. 15-30 days incur 50%, and less than 14 days is 100% non-refundable.
2. How can I cancel my reservation?
All cancellations must be requested in writing by emailing our support team at info@springtoursoman.com.
3. Can I change my travel dates after booking?
Yes, date changes are permitted subject to hotel and transport availability. Price differences may apply for peak seasons.
4. Are visa processing fees refundable if rejected?
No. If the Royal Oman Police (ROP) rejects a visa application for any reason, the processing fees remain non-refundable.
5. What happens if I cancel my car rental?
Car rental cancellations made at least 48 hours before pick-up are generally fully refundable. Late cancellations may incur a 1-day rental charge.
6. What if my flight to Oman is delayed or canceled?
Please inform us immediately. We will adjust your airport transfer and inform your hotel, though we cannot refund missed days due to airline faults.
7. How long does it take to receive a refund?
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 14 to 21 business days.
8. Can I transfer my booking to another person?
Name changes are possible for tours and hotels but may incur administrative fees. Visas and flight tickets are strictly non-transferable.
9. What if Spring Tours Oman cancels a tour?
If we cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather), you will receive a full refund or an alternative tour option.
10. Is my initial deposit refundable?
Deposits are generally non-refundable as they are used to secure hotels and vehicles in advance, unless stated otherwise in your contract.
11. What is the policy during Salalah Khareef season?
Due to high demand, bookings during Khareef (July-September) have stricter cancellation policies. Cancellations within 21 days are usually non-refundable.
12. Can I cancel a single day-trip from my package?
Yes, but refunds for partially unused packages or single missed activities are generally not provided once the tour has commenced.
13. What happens if I return my rental car early?
There are no refunds for returning a rental vehicle earlier than the contracted drop-off date and time.
14. Will I be charged if I don't show up (No-Show)?
Yes, a no-show for a tour, hotel, or car rental will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
15. Can I change the driver name on a car rental?
Yes, before pick-up, you can change the driver name provided the new driver meets all licensing and age requirements.
16. What if extreme weather affects my Wadi tour?
Safety is our priority. If a Wadi is flooded, we will reroute the tour to a safer location or offer an alternative activity without extra charge.
17. How do I dispute a cancellation charge?
You can reply to your cancellation confirmation email with your reasoning, and our management team will review your case.
18. What if I get sick before my trip?
Standard cancellation policies apply. We highly recommend having travel insurance that covers trip cancellation due to medical reasons.
19. Do you offer flexible booking rates?
Yes, we offer flexible rates at a slight premium which allow free cancellations up to 7 days before arrival.
20. What happens if the government closes borders?
In the event of official border closures (e.g., pandemic restrictions), we will offer a free date change or a credit voucher valid for 24 months.
Payments & Traveling in Oman
1. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard), PayPal, and direct bank transfers to our company account.
2. Do I have to pay in full at the time of booking?
Usually, a 25% to 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the balance due 14 to 30 days before arrival.
3. What currency are your prices in?
Our packages are typically quoted in Omani Rials (OMR) or US Dollars (USD).
4. Are there any hidden fees or taxes?
No, all our quotes are inclusive of local taxes and VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.
5. Is it safe to pay online on your website?
Yes, our payment gateways are fully encrypted and secure, ensuring your financial data is protected.
6. Is Oman a safe country for tourists?
Oman is exceptionally safe. It ranks among the top 5 safest countries globally and boasts a 0.0 score on the Global Terrorism Index.
7. What is the dress code in Oman?
Oman is a traditional country. Tourists are expected to dress modestly in public places, covering shoulders and knees. Swimwear is acceptable at hotel pools and private beaches.
8. Can women travel alone in Oman?
Yes, Oman is very safe and welcoming for solo female travelers. Locals are highly respectful and hospitable.
9. Are credit cards widely accepted in Oman?
Yes, Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted in hotels, malls, and restaurants. However, carrying some cash (OMR) is advised for traditional souqs and rural areas.
10. Can I drink tap water in Oman?
Tap water is generally safe, but we recommend drinking bottled water, which is cheap and widely available everywhere.
11. What is the official language?
Arabic is the official language, but English is widely spoken and understood across the country.
12. Is alcohol permitted in Oman?
Alcohol is permitted and available in licensed hotels, resorts, and specific restaurants. It is strictly prohibited to drink in public spaces.
13. What is the driving culture like in Oman?
Oman has an excellent road network. Driving is on the right side. Speed limits are strictly enforced by speed cameras.
14. Do I need cash for tolls in Oman?
Oman currently does not have toll roads, making driving and road trips very straightforward.
15. Is Wi-Fi widely available?
Yes, most hotels, cafes, and malls offer free Wi-Fi. You can also easily purchase a local tourist SIM card at the airport.
16. What should I pack for an Oman trip?
Pack light, breathable cotton clothes, comfortable hiking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a light jacket for cool desert nights or mountain stays.
17. Do you tip in Oman?
Tipping is not mandatory but highly appreciated. 10% in restaurants and a small tip for drivers and guides is customary for good service.

19. Are there ATMs outside of Muscat?
